Yep. On Thursday, July 10th, Mary, Sara and I met up in Ohio for Country Concert 2008. I won’t go into much detail, but it was amazing. Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Phil Vassar, Kellie Pickler, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Rodney Atkins, Jake Owen, and about 15 others rocked it out for four days. We camped, we baked in the sun, had a beer or two, and even showered once. Good times.

Congratulations to Alison and Dorian (Scott) Lauer who finally, after all of just over a year of courtship, got married on May 31, 2008! Camping at Creekside Mountain Camping has become something of a pastime for my friends and me.

I think we tend to make it there at least 2 times per year, and that’s been for about the past four years. The later, hot summer months bring tubing down the Green River, but the spring months bring chilly nights and relaxing, temperate days. Read the rest of this entry »

So there’s a new big kid playground down in South Carolina, about an hour south of Charlotte, called Carolina Adventure World. My understanding from one of the lead Ziplining Gurus is that the gentleman that owns Wilburn Auto Body in Charlotte got bored, so he decided to take this 2600 acre expanse and make 100+ miles of ATV trails, a three-station zipline course, and 10-15 miles of planned mountain biking trails. On Sunday, April 6th, some of the strongest, most competitive professional cornholers in the northern hemisphere descended upon Charlotte, North Carolina for an early spring big money tournament. We weren’t included in that group… But, they did let me and a few friends partake!
